'HRN' Numbering system explained. Most issues were reprinted often. As a result there are many editions of the same issue number. The different versions are identified by their HRN# -- the lower the number, the older the edition. HRN stands for "Highest Reorder Number", from the coupon in the comic for ordering issues by mail. In some cases, the covers vary from one HRN# to another.
